Best Pho in Alexandria

I very rarely give 5 stars but in this instance, Pho Bowl has hit all the important points. Service? Excellent! Servers are friendly. Food? Excellent!! I used to despair that the closest great pho place from my apartment was 10 miles down 495, not quite realizing that there was one down the street from me. I've traveled all over East Asia, as well as Falls Church and Alexandria, and this spot serves pho that truly captures authentic flavors. The aroma is bold--maybe a bit unexpected for those unfamiliar with traditional East Asian cuisine--but everything here is well-balanced. The pho had a variety of meats, including tendons, and the portion was just right. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made my visit feel special.

First off, the pho is delicious! Food service is quick. Secondly, the customer service is UNMATCHED. I personally observed the owner/manager going around to each table and having personal conversations with every patron. And I don't mean "How's the food?", I mean "Wow, you guys are healthy! Just tofu and broccoli, huh?". I've been getting takeout from this location for a while, but I will definitely be stopping in more often to eat just because I felt so welcomed.

I had the pho, which was ok. My husband ordered the pork bahn mi. Ummmm.... I will be getting THAT when I come back! On a cold day, the pho was ok, but I have a higher bar set than most. With that said, I have nothing negative to say about that sandwich! Perfectly cooked and seasoned with a lightly toasted crunch to the warm bread....
